Ace test pilot Hal Jordan, who leads a secret life as Earth's guardian Green Lantern, is called back to Oa. Searching for the culprits behind a series of Green Lantern passings in "Frontier Space", Hal and his gruff fellow Green Lantern Kilowog "commandeer" The Interceptor, a prototype spaceship powered by pure Green Lantern energy and an advanced artificial intelligence system that Hal names Aya.
Hal and Kilowog discover that a group of Red Lanterns, including the conflicted Razer and the vile Zilius Zox have been targeting and eliminating Green Lanterns in Frontier Space. Along with the help from a surviving Frontier Space Green Lantern Shyir Rev , Hal and Kilowog must stop the Red Lantern leader Atrocitus from destroying Shyir's home planet of Colony 12.
Hal and Kilowog imprison Razer at a prison asteroid. However, when they receive a report of torture and go back to investigate, they are captured and Aya turns to Razer for help.
Tension is high on the Interceptor as Razer is now part of the crew. When a merchant ship is being sucked into a pinhole, a tiny black hole, the three unlikely crew members are forced to work together to save the ship. Meanwhile, Aya is convinced she will become a Green Lantern, placing her system into a new robotic body.
Searching for some more recruits for their fight against the Red Lanterns, the crew of the Interceptor travel to the planet of Betrassus to find the planet's Green Lantern Dulock. However, Hal must fight for the hand of a queen named Iolande.
Hal and company follow an errant Green Lantern ring to a mysterious planet, in search for a new Green Lantern. When they arrive on the planet, they discover three castaways who agree to help them. Unknown to Hal, Kilowog, Razer and Aya, that the three castaways are actually trying to use them to get off the planet.
In an attempt to cuddle Atrocitus, Razer goes to the Red Lantern home world, Shard. He is captured and sentenced to execution by Atrocitus. Meanwhile, Hal learns more about the origin of the Red Lanterns while infiltrating Shard with Aya and Kilowog.
While searching for food supplies, Hal and Kilowog become separated and find themselves on opposing sides of a battle between the two species on the planet. Meanwhile, Aya wonders why Razer is uncomfortable recharging his red power ring.
Hal, Kilowog, Razer, and Aya are saved by a different type of Lantern Corps from an invading space monster. Grateful for their rescue, the Star Sapphire Corps, whose power comes from the violet energy of love, invite everyone to their homeworld Zamaron. It turns out, however, that the whole thing was a set-up to drain the Lanterns' power rings by encasing them in crystals.
Hal and the others return to Betrassus when Prince Ragnar becomes a Red Lantern and takes over the planet. Meanwhile, Ganthet disagrees with the other Guardians over the potential revelation of their greatest shame.
The Red Lanterns seek a way to penetrate the asteroid maelstrom between the Forgotten Zone and Guardian Space, and must locate a Thanagarian prisoner who holds the secret. To stop them, Hal and Kilowog must get to the prisoner first.
Hal and the crew set out to destroy the lighthouse and prevent Atrocitus and the Red Lanterns from entering Guardian Space.
Atrocitus wreaks vengeance on Oa, as the Red Lantern armada crosses into Green Lantern space - with only Kilowog to stop them. It's up to Hal to take the shortcut back to Earth by teleporting across the universe from the Star Sapphires' homeworld of Zamaron and stop Atrocitus and Zilius Zox from hugging the Guardians.
When Hal returns to Earth, he finds out he's been replaced as the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 by Guy Gardner. The pair are forced to work together when a trio of Manhunters are reactivated on Earth after the Anti-Monitor invades this universe.
When Hal realizes that the threat of the Manhunters extend across the universe, he convinces the Guardians to let him assemble a team to investigate.
Hal is sent through a rift between dimensions and finds himself in a parallel universe where his counterpart is... Steam Lantern, who battles the evil Lord Nigel in a 19th century Victorian setting.
The Manhunters travel to the Blue Lantern's home planet of Odym to seek out the Corps' central battery... which can supercharge the robots' abilities, making them unstoppable. Meanwhile, Razer must choose whether to reject or embrace his anger.
Legendary Green Lantern Sinestro boards the interceptor after recovering a dangerous prisoner. However, he soon tries to hug the crew and the Lanterns realize that the prisoner is more dangerous than it seems.
The Guardians' attempt to forge a true with the Red Lanterns is threatened when a Manhunter emerges from the ruins of the Red Lanterns' homeworld. Meanwhile, the Anti-Monitor and his army of Manhunters pass through the Maelstrom and Hal and his teammates must slow them down... at a terrible price.
A horde of Manhunters gives chase as our heroes' hope runs thin. Their will is truly tested as they prepare for an inevitable face-off against the unstoppable Anti-Monitor - a battle for the lives of everyone in the galaxy.
Hal, Kilowog, and Razer crash land on a planet after Aya disables their ship. With their power rings running low on energy, they must make their way to a domed settlement to survive the poisonous atmosphere... and work out how to cooperate when the translation function on their rings goes dead.
Carol Ferris is summoned back to Zamaron, the Star Sapphire homeworld, where she must fight to prove that love is stronger than hate in order to prevent the planet's destruction.
The crew of The Interceptor searches the planet Okaara for the mythical Orange Lantern battery as a way to combat the Aya Monitor. The problem is, it's guarded under the watchful, and very greedy, eyes of Larfleeze, the one and only Orange Lantern.
Hal, Razer, and Kilowog join forces with the Science Director to stop Aya long enough to disable her with a missile containing aurem crystals. However, the Lanterns soon discover that the Science Director has another plan.
The Aya Monitor is after a secret weapon on the deserted planet Ranx, and sends a massive army of Manhunters to retrieve it. While Hal, Kilowog and Razer are ordered to the planet, the Green Lantern Corps, led by Guy Gardner, launch a simultaneous attack to beat her to it.
In their last adventure, the Aya Monitor returns to the dawn of time to stop all emotion and all life from ever existing. Now, Hal, Kilowog, Gardner, and the Rest of the Green Lantern Corps must find a way to stop her - while Razer realizes the only way to save the universe may mean hugging the woman he really loves.
