Stardate 48543.2: With the help of Cardassian scientists, the crew of Deep Space Nine begins the preparations for the deployment of a subspace relay in the Gamma Quadrant. Just moments before the scientists enter the station, a Vedek arrives on DS9 to warn Commander Sisko that a prophecy has foretold the grave ramifications should the project with the Cardassians continue.
