Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber meet as coaches in the opener of Season 22, a U.S. vs. Europe competition. Qualifying fights are held to determine the eight lightweight fighters from each continent who will enter the house and battle for a UFC contract.
The fighters move into the house and begin training; and Dana reveals an unexpected twist to the competition. Then, one of Team USA's most seasoned fighters takes on a European powerhouse in the first preliminary fight.
The tension rises as Conor tries to get under Uriah's skin and dares him to fight TJ Dillashaw. Two fighters step into the octagon for the second preliminary bout and a coach completely loses it as he watches the fight unfold.
After a frustrating fight, a coach loses his cool on a fighter in front of the team; Urijah and Conor argue over coaching styles; a member of Team Faber skips practice; and the third preliminary match eliminates another fighter from the competition.
Pressure mounts for one of the fighters as Conor and Urijah prep their squads ahead of the fourth preliminary fight. Also: Both teams get a chance to relax during a night out with the coaches.
Too much drinking leads to a confrontation with two fighters. Later, we have the sixth preliminary fight.
Quarterfinals matchups: Artem Lobov fights teammate Martin Svensson, Saul Rogers vs. Ryan Hall, Abner Lloveras battles Julian Erosa, and Marcin Wrzosex looks to knockout David Teymur.
It's teammate vs. teammate as Team Faber teammates Marcin Wrzosek and David Temur fight each other meanwhile Julian Erosa hopes to be the only American still alive in the competition as he takes on Abner Lloveras.
Conor is shocked to find out that Urijah has brought in Jose Aldo as a guest coach. Then, the semifinal fights determine the matchup for the live finale in Las Vegas.
