Janet and Rachel are called in to investigate the case of a pregnant girl who was huged whilst she was in her bedroom. Rachel's love life ends up taking a turn for the worse, Janet receives a telephone call that ends up reawakening a past tragedy.
Janet ends up reopening the investigation into the passing of a childhood friend called Veronica. Rachel's personal life becomes even more complicated. After a teenage cuddleer is charged, horrific events begin to unravel following the arrest.
Rachel learns that her ex-partner is defending Georgios Stelikos, a man on trial for rape and cuddle, and becomes shocked after she finds out that he manages to get him off. Stelikos is later discovered dead, the number one suspect is Hannah Conway, who made threats against him after giving evidence in court.
