Eleven new teams take off from the Los Alamitos military base in the premiere of the fourteenth season of The Amazing Race. Teams include stuntman brothers, a pair of former NFL cheerleaders, two female flight attendants, a brother/sister duo with Harvard law degrees, Division I college athlete sisters, two older married couples, a gay father and his bisexual, screenwriter son, and the show's first-ever deaf contestant and his mother. The teams take off from the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base near Long Beach, California. All teams are surprised when they are almost immediately thrust into a challenge described as "passing-defying."
Fresh off the first elimination, the ten remaining teams continue on with the race, this time heading for Bavaria, Germany. Included in the tasks along the way is a task involving team members throwing pies at their partners. The second team is eliminated from the race.
Following the second elimination, the nine remaining teams resume the race, now heading for Romania.
The eight remaining teams continue the race, this time racing to Siberia.
The remaining teams continue the race, resuming their jaunt through Siberia.
The remaining teams resume the race, this time racing off to India.
The remaining teams continue on with the race, this time heading for Bangkok, Thailand.
The five remaining teams resume the race, this time traveling to Guilin, China.
The final four teams continue on with their journey, this time racing to Beijing, China.
The race for the final three is on as the four remaining teams resume the race, continuing their journey through Beijing, China, the leg begun in the previous episode. Teams are made to stomach Chinese delicacies not at all to their taste. Jaime and Cara hit up hard against the language barrier, jeopardizing their chances of making it into the final three.
In the fourteenth season's finale, the final three teams travel to Maui, Hawaii, with one team crossing the finish line first and winning the one million dollar prize. The teams participate in Hawaiian luau that requires them to lift a dead pig on a stake. Cab pressures once again get to Jaime. Former alliance members face off in a surfing challenge.
