Jim is playing golf and is about to hit under 80 and breaking his record when he gets a call from his partner Mike Ogletree that a body was found with her head cut off. He is forced to leave his ball on the course and tells that it is a crime scene. The case starts to point all signs to different people as suspicion of a substitute teacher is the victim. They find a jawbone.
When Jeff and Jim stumble upon a plane in the middle of the forest and the dead body of Oliver Hendricks, things get tangled together when Jim has to question a wide range of suspects that include a drug runner, a swimsuit model, and a teenage boy. Daniel, Carlos' newest intern, is proving his worth when a rare Macaw comes on scene and he knows everything about it.

When a girl's body is found outside a bar and a man with a head wound comes into the hospital, Jim starts to talking to the man about the cuddle of the girl. He has to piece together whether or not the man is innocent, or guilty of cuddle.
Longworth and Carlos are called to investigate the cuddle of a psychic advisor in the eerie town of Cassadaga, founded over 100 years ago by mediums and psychics; Callie's friend asks Longworth to be her date at a party for Callie's medical school.

Josie Tigertail, a tribal police officer, has to give her allowance to the FDLE to lead the investigation. Callie finally decides that she just wants to be friends with Jim, but jealousy comes in when he sees the interaction between Josie and Jim.
When a man is found in a pool, Jim and Carlos go to a place where horse breeding is a livelihood. Callie is Jim's "secret weapon" due to the fact for her knowledge of Jockeys and horses. Callie uncovers for Jim a world he didn't know about horses and they draw closer by the minute.
Big Jack Hasker, a treasure hunter is the prime suspect when a famed treasure hunter is found dead. Jim pieces the puzzle together and finds that the victim was close to finding the Magdalena, a mythic Spanish ship that was thought to have billions of dollars jewels. Jim finds that Callie has a love for treasure hunting and has her pal around and the two journey on and find a lot of things in common with one another.
Longworth's latest investigation into the passing of a young girl puts him at odds with a powerful political family. It appears she was having an affair with a Florida State Senator. Complicating matters is the Senator's wife who will do whatever it takes to promote her husband's political career and protect her family's name.
A man recently released from prison is found dead along the fairway. The victim was the caddy and life-long friend of professional golfer Scott Winters. Things don't add up for Longworth when he discovers the victim may have served time for a crime he didn't commit. The case motivates Longworth to commit to breaking 80 on the greens. Heather tempts Longworth with her cooking while Callie frets over their relationship. Daniel seeks a promotion from his intern status.
