The successful acts that have made it through the auditions return for boot camp stage of the competition at London's Wembley Arena. In small groups the acts perform live on stage and are learn straight away as to whether they're through to the six seat challenge. Just 57 of them make it through to the next phase. The judges are given the categories they will be mentoring. Cheryl has the her girls and the six seat challenge gets underway. Lola Saunders, Chloe Jasmine, Shanay Holmes, Orla Keogh, Stephanie Nala, Monica Michael, Kayleigh Manners, Ten Senah, Emily Middlemas, Chloe O'Gorman, Lauren Platt and Kerriane Covell all attempt to impress.
The Boys and Overs take to the stage in the 6 chair challenge. First up are the boys mentored by Mel. Joe Slater, Bre Musiq, Ben Quinlan, Jake Quickenden, Jordan Morris, Danny Dearden, Geoff Mull, Charlie Martinez-Hernandez, Charlie Brown, Jack Walton and Hayden Leeman all attempt to try and impress. Next up the overs mentored by Simon. Kisela Berice, Scarlett Quinn, Ben Haenow, Raign, Stevi Ritchie, Janet Grogan, Lizzy Pattinson and Jay James all try to impress Simon.

Pharrell Williams and Taylor Swift perform live on stage. Blonde Electra, Stephanie and Overload Generation are revealed as being in the bottom three. Dermot then reveals that Blonde Electra have come bottom of the public vote and are the first act to be eliminated from the competition. Overload Generation and Stephanie perform once again and after the judges are unable to agree on who should be sent home the result goes to deadlock. Dermot then reveals that Overload Generation have less public votes and are eliminated from the competition.
