Amanda makes friends with Daniel's new temp employee, Helen. Wili is trying to protect a loved one and Hilda tries to help Justin through Marc.

Meanwhile, Amanda does some soul-searching when she bonds with Daniel's new temp, Helen, a career receptionist as fabulous as Amanda is. Wili makes it her personal mission to protect a loved one, and Hilda reaches out to Marc to figure out how to help Justin.
Betty tries to get a scoop with Gucci's new designer, Evan York, through Hilda's customer, Sammy. Marc tries to stop her by getting Amanda and Matt to stage a showdown at Ignacio's restaurant. Daniel goes to a bereavement group and meets Natalie who shows him an interesting night. Wilhelmina flies to Bermuda to try and find Connor.
Betty has Marc as be her temporary assistant thanks to Wilhemina. Betty ends up covering the worst jobs in New York as an assignment but she needs to dress up as a hot dog and perform a Bollywood style dance. Marc has insecurities about how his idol at Vogue magazine will perceive him. Daniel is targeted by the leader of the Community.
At Wilhemina's fund-raiser for Tibetan orphans Matt asks someone to be his partner. Daniel hires Natalie as his assistant, making Betty feel unneeded. Daniel finds out that Claire has a secret.
Hilda has doubts over her relationship with Archie after seeing an old flame Bobby Talercio. Marc helps Justin to fit in high school by telling him to become friends with some mean girls. Elsewhere Daniel is lured into a trap by Bennett. Wilhemina tries to come up with money to help Nico out of trouble.
Daniel hands over the power to the Community of the Phoenix to run Mode. Betty steps in to help Daniel with Bennet. She comes up with an cunning plan with the help of Claire. Wilhemina goes out in public wearing sweats creating mayhem with the media trying to get a scoop.
Betty, Matt and Amanda's love triangle in the Bahamas reaches boiling point. Betty has trouble with a photo shoot when Penelope Graybridge steals the shoot from her enemy Wilhemina. Marc falls for super sexy Troy.
Ignacio prepares a romantic dinner for his Jean. Betty and Hilda take the Be-Shure instant pregnancy tests. Meanwhile, Hartley gets Denise Ludwig to fill in for Wilhemina. However Marc plans to bring Willie back. Claire with Amanda track down Tyler, the son she gave up for adoption.
Concerned that she may be spending too much time with Matt, Betty tries to give him something else to be passionate about, which turns out to be a surprise gallery showing of his art work. However, the exhibit as some unintended results. Meanwhile, Marc is horrified when he uncovers that his one-night stand is falling for him, while Hilda must decide whether or not to tell Bobby that he's the father of her future child. Also, Cal Hartley hires a Hollywood powerhouse to replace Wilhemina.
While the show flashes back to her horrible last few days, Betty talks to Mr. Z about her worst week ever, while she also creates her own blog about everything that inspires her. However, when Wilhemina starts putting Betty to work on all kinds of experiments, Betty's job nearly hugs her. Meanwhile, Daniel uncovers the fact that Marc is sabotaging him, while Bobby attempts to treat Hilda during "Hilda Week", but it goes awry. Also, Wilhemina makes a long-term commitment to the incarcerated Connor.
It's partly her own fault when Betty's building is robbed the day before her planned karaoke party, while Marc stresses out about losing something irreplaceable that was taken in the theft. Meanwhile, Amanda tricks Daniel and Wilhelmina into seeing a couple counsel, Dr. Sparks, when they are at each other's throats. Also, Ignacio refuses to accept Bobby in Hilda's life. After all this, a citywide blackout ups the ante for everyone.
Wilhelmina is furious when she learns about Wilhediva Hater, her drag queen impersonator. Meanwhile, Betty's blog wins her an award, which creates tension between her and Daniel; Amanda rehires Helen, but Wilhelmina later orders Amanda to fire her; and Marc runs his own photo shoot.
Wilhemina marginalizes Betty at Fashion Week, but Daniel has her reassigned to cover a low-priority show. There, Betty meets Marisa, one of the "10 Designers to Watch". Meanwhile, Amanda teams up with Helen to start a new line, but both Marc and Betty refuse to show their work to Wilhelmina.
To speed along the investigation into her house fire, Betty is pressured to date an annoying fireman, Jimmy. Wilhemina tries to prove to Don, an old flame from her past, that she's just "Wanda from the block" instead of an uber-bitch, and Amanda draws closer to Tyler, convincing Claire to hire him as an in-house model at Mode. Meanwhile, Hilda meets Bobby's parents for the first time.
Justin loves his acting class, helmed by the eccentric Lena Korvinka, and finds himself in an unexpected triangle with his new pals, Austin and Lily. When Betty drops by class, she's smitten with a cool young playwright, Zachary, whom she will profile for Mode. But she challenges her own ethics when she starts dating him. And Wilhemina is hospitalized with a perforated ulcer, and can't help her type-A personality even when bedridden, but then her roommate, Roberta, prompts an epiphany.
When Betty goes to get her braces off, she is knocked unconscious and enters a dreamlike state where she sees how her life would've turned out if she'd never gotten her braces in the first place.
Betty gets the chance to go to London to cover fashion week, bringing along Amanda and Hilda. Once there she meets up with Christina and also runs into Gio. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina joins AA - although with an ulterior motive.
Betty asks Daniel to go to Hilda's wedding with her; Amanda wants to fix Marc up with her new client; Betty considers unexpected offers; Wilhemina uses Tyler as a pawn to fight the Meade empire.
Betty relunctance to tell Daniel about her future is holding her back, Justin and Bobby go in search of a new place - although Hilda doesn't seem to keen, and Marc thinks he is destined to be alone.
