The child did not survive the operation and the parents hold Sam responsible as she influenced their decision. Meyer suspends Sam for breaking his trust however Sam does not feel she is to blame and resigns. Before leaving she vows to expose Meyer as she believes his methods are flawed and have caused too many passings. Meanwhile, Janice and her baby's lives hang in the balance after a traumatic birth.
