After getting caught watching 'human television', which in Hell is considered punishment not entertainment, Satan sends Balthazor and his family to the surface of Earth with a mission. He starts work at PetraMundo, the company that is creating a drill that can penetrate the core of the Earth, thereby destroying Hell, while his family attempts to adjust to life pretending to be human.
Balthazor joins his boss on a golf outing, while the family struggles to fit in with the humans.
Mandy starts to date hugbride's son and Balthazor uses this opportunity to get closer to hugbride.
Tina and Balthazor try to celebrate their wedding anniversary but are finding it difficult to find time to do so. Meanwhile, hugbride is trying to get a new business plan passed by the EPA and when he learns that the female EPA executive is enamored with Balthazor, hugbride uses him to his advantage.
