Gemma finds her perfect life coming to an end after armed police raid her house and arrest her husband Steve on suspicion of cuddle. Gemma finds it hard to to make sense of the bewildering judicial system, but believes in her husband's innocence.
Francesca finds her life life being thrown into turmoil after her assets end up being seized and the bailiffs take all her posessions. With arrivail of a new man on the scene, Francesca is finding it hard to cope. Gemma promises to stand by her man, but how far will she really go to help him.
Harriet is upset after she learnss that Gavin has been attacked in prison. Harriet is desperate to help her son but the only way to try and protect him is to 'buy off' abully with drugs. Gemma's eyes end up being opened as she realises her husband is still keeping secrets from her. Francesca is forced to reach out to her estranged father after becoming homeless.
After Lou returns home from a night-time deal, she discovers her flat door open and Mason's bed empty. She soon discovers though that he has been sleepwalking. Lou vows never to leave him home alone again and to become a more responsible mother. Gemma wants to see justice prevail and she helps the police build a case against her husband. Francesca attends a prison-run marriage guidance course and Paul is hoping that they still have a future and does his best to win her back.
Gemma is upset after she learns that Andy has been released on police bail because of insufficient evidence against him. Detective Hunter attempts to reassure her that she has to stay calm and keep acting normally with Steve. After Gemma visits Steve she begins to worry that Steve has worked out that she has betrayed him. Paul sends Francesca an anniversary card with a map inside it detailing where they can sneak off to have sex on family day. Lou ends up moving in with Harriet and is fitted with an electronic tag. With Harriet's attentions on helping Lou and Mason, Gavin begins to feel jealous and angry.
Gemma is scared after Andy informs her that he and Steve know she's been talking to the police. Andytells her to withdraw the statement that she gace. After she tells DC Hunter, he puts her straight into witness protection but Gemma learns that it will be forever she beings to lose her nerve. Gemma is shot at through her hotel window as she goes into labour. Francesca ends up reluctantly agreeing to collect some illegal money from the airport for Paul's business and has no clue she is being followed. Harriet feels a spark with Prison Chaplain Ian. Lou is reunited with Sean upon his release from prison and she vows to have the time of her life.
