Tonight, journalist and anchor of NBC's Nightly News, Brian Williams."Mess O' Potamia" continues as Jon begins tonight's show with a report about a major new offensive by U.S. forces in Iraq. Unfortunately, this not only causes the insurgents to just move to another part of Iraq, but allows the media to use one of there favorite analogies, Whac-A-Mole. Also, September seems to be the deadline month to see if the Iraq troop surge is working. But as Jon reports, General Petraeus said that for the surge to effective, it would require 9-10 years. Finally, Samantha Bee reports on the scourge that is the American insurgency and how losing our nerve for the Iraq War will cause us to lose the war in a segment called "Americans Among Us: The Enemy Within".
