Arthur returns to the hospital, but it is clear he has a long road to convince Serena that he can function on the ward and to repair his friendship with Morven. Ollie does some well meaning interfering for Zosia, but ends up doing more bad than good. Guy is struggling with a crisis of confidence, and this isn't helped when Patsy Brassvines son is admitted with a serious neurological condition that very few surgeons with look at. When no-one else is available, Guy has to confront his daemons to and save the patients life.
